What is a Lifestyle session? A lifestyle session is a photo session inside your home.  This session is less posed and more real life.  It is your kids playing with their toys.  It is story time on the couch or tickle fights in your bed.  If your kiddos are young enough it can even be bath time! It is me capturing real life where you do life.  I can capture whatever parts of your regular day have the most meaning to you.  

The mommy of these adorable boys contacted me because she wanted a lifestyle session in her new home.  She didn't want a family session but a session that was focused on the boys and their current milestones.  And believe me, I was more than just a little excited.  I love to capture real emotions and actions more than I like to create posed photography.  Here is how the in home photo session turned out.

First, I captured some moments of the boys playing with toys inside and then sitting together in the back yard.  

This home has a beautiful treed lot so we had to do some of their pictures on the driveway.  So I chased the kiddos with my camera while they rode bikes and ran around. Then the little brother was put in a box :) That is the best way to keep a little one still long enough to catch a picture.

Both of these little boys had birthdays coming up so the mom wanted some pictures to celebrate that.  The first thought was a smash cake session for the one year old but we decided on a Watermelon Smash instead! It turned out too cute having the boys eat watermelon on the front porch of their new home.
